These flowers are from my mother's yard, it is almost like a collection. She has hot pink, orange Lampranthus Aureus, and these starry yellow ones. They are super low maintenance and can grow in just about any environment. They thrive best in dry, warm climate and multiply easily. They are very easy to transplant and propagate, so if you like them just ask your neighbors for some to try. They are colorful and blooms at midday.
My neighbor has some light yellow Lampranthus Aureus that are not two toned like the ones pictured here. I think she would really like to have some if she ever saw these. She is going on her second honeymoon and asked me the other day where she could get some honeymoon lingerie. Of course she didn't know I was so oblivious in this area, I ask what is a honeymoon lingerie? Is it different? Well, she said for one thing they are white and usually romantic, but for the most part they have the softer and more innocent look. But it all depends on what you define all those terms to be. And I said: hummm.
Thanks for stopping by today.

That yellow color is really bright, and hurts my old eyes :-) I need to wear shades to look at it closely.

ReplyDeleteI think that brilliant color is spectacular. I'd like to see it in a bed of other bright flowers, pinks and purples. I've always like bouganvilla because of their exotic colors.
ReplyDeleteOh, yes, I definitely have heard of honeymoon lingerie. I think Victoria's Secret specializes in it.
