When ever I see a purple thistle, I think of my mother-in-law who emigrated from Scotland to the U.S.A. when she was 18 years old with her younger brother. She told me that she saw purple thistle where she was born often. Your macro photograph really sets off the purple thistle. Nice Outdoor Wednesday post this week. Joyce M
