If someone asks you to name the six precious metals in the world, would you be able to? Hey, don't feel bad, I didn't either but I bet you've heard of platinum plenty of times during these past few years. For your information, the reason for its popularity is that platinum is one of the world most sought after metals. It is primarily used in automotive and jewelry industries.

The other five metals are copper, nickel, cobalt, palladium and gold! These six metals are family members of platinum group metals (PGMs), which includes rhodium, iridium, osmium, ruthenium. Though we may not know their values or significant uses, we should be aware that they are out there.

    I just learned something new. I think platinum jewelry is so pretty but not something I own.

    I rarely hear much about platinum unless it's something hanging around a rappers neck. lol
