Out of my three lovely children, the oldest one prefer changes too. The other two, hang-on to their things as if their life depend on them. Unless they are force to let go, they will not want to see anything missing.
These are T's boots and she loves them. They light up when she walks in them. They have the three Disney Princesses on them. The top has soft pink fur, and the front tops off with two pom-poms. They are still in good condition, unfortunately they are too small for T now. And I had retired them to the Goodwill pile.
She asked about them all the time, it's sad. She even snuck into the Goodwill pile every now and then and force her feet into them, only to find out her feet will not stay straight, but - "it fits mama." so I reply "no, it doesn't T."
I have been looking all over to get her another pair like these and haven't found anything. Although she has a pair of boots that she wears, it just isn't like her favorite pair here. Afterall, it lights up and has the three Disney Princesses on them and so comfortable to wear.
Thanks for stopping by today.

Aw, that is so cute how much she loves those boots. I wasn't like that as a kid either, I wanted new things every year. I didn't always get the new but I did want it.
ReplyDeleteThose are pretty, and looks comfortable! Give her a box to store all her keepsakes :-)
ReplyDeleteNo matter what the age, we have our favorite things.
ReplyDeleteHow pretty! My son clings to his baby blanket, he uses it every night. He is now five lol.

i too have my favorites, those are beautiful boots, i can see why she would love to wear that always.
ReplyDeleteawwww...I'm not very crafty...but I do wonder, is there anyway to make something out of the boots, so that she can keep them without having to wear them? Maybe frame some of the fabric she could hang on the wall? Good luck...I'm sure she'll fall in love with a new pair before you know it. :)
