I would love to do this! It sounds like a great program!
ReplyDeleteMe too! I think it is a great way to stay in shape. It sounds fun, not like your typical exercise tape.
DeleteI actually take Muay Thai as part of my Krav Maga training. Krav is Israeli hand to hand combat, but it incorporates Muay Thai as well as some boxing, etc.
ReplyDeleteOh wow, how cool. Better watch-out for you with these the Muay Thai moves! I have taken Kung Fu basics, and really loved it. I bet Muay Thai is a lot more fun!
DeleteI tried it but I didn't have time to continue working on that and attend classes because I started to work for fast food restaurant and later I was charging parking tickets. My friend continue with the program and based on her experience it was fun.
DeleteWhat an interesting way to keep those muscle flex and to learn self-defense!
ReplyDeleteIt is also great for the mind. I like that it's so focused.
DeleteI'd like to go to see Thailand. ;) It's the one place people visit and talk about for long after (positively). Muay Thai seems like it would be a fun way to stay in shape.
ReplyDeleteThe closest I come to this is when I did Tae Bo with Billy Blanks (workout DVD). Cardio-aerobics with interval training is one of the best ways to speed up your metabolism to ignite your calorie burning furnace. I continue to ride my stationary bike, but I need to get back into the groove of using my Zumba or Brazilian Butt Lift or Tae Bo exercise videos. This is good information to know on Muay Thi, though. I have T?T linky up and already linked you up! ;)
ReplyDeleteMuay Thai is an incredible sport up close in Thailand. I was there on a business trip and stayed for one of the big fights. It was incredible to see in person and they were really going at it!
ReplyDeleteStrength, self defense and a healthy workout? Muay Thai offers all of this and more. My gym teaches an introductory course that really kicks you butt and leaves you feeling tired and achy when it's over. It's a good feeling!
ReplyDeleteAny sport is good for burning fats and getting you in better shape specially for the people who move around less like clerks , typists or people who don't have an opportunity to reach a full potential because of school or university. I agree this one is better than many.
ReplyDeleteTo become a good Thai Boxer one must attend training sessions regularly, be
ReplyDeleteobedient to the teacher's instructions, focus on maintaining one's health, and
adhere to the prescribed pattern of training.
Consistently doing each of these four things results in a highly disciplined
fighter. Boxing in Connecticut
