I lost my car a couple of years ago due to a horrible accident. It was then that I realized how important good auto insurance coverage could be. From the moment I was able to get out of my car safely, I couldn't believe how messy the situation was. Without a car, I felt trapped and helpless. Additionally, I was hurt, and my car had turned into a pile of crushed metal, which I still have responsibility to remove from the freeway.
It was amazing how fast things came together after I made the phone call to my auto insurance. I needed a ride to a doctor and my car needed a tow. Within an hour, I was far away from the accident scene. After that, my insurance representative guided me with the next steps and I was so very glad for that. It didn't take long to receive a claim number and to get back on my feet with a loaner car. I had good auto insurance coverage and it covered most of, if not all of the expenses incurred from the tragedy.
Knowledgeable insurance folks handled the claim smoothly. There were always follow-ups to make sure I understood what was going on and what they had to do with my claim. The replies were timely and clear, which made me feel like was good hands.

Someone rear-ended me a few years ago on my way to work, and my insurance take care of it for it. It's a great feeling to have good insurance and especially when things went smoothly!
ReplyDeleteGlad you were not too seriously hurt.
ReplyDeleteIt is scary how expensive it all can be during an accident.
I would never drive without insurance, the risk is too great! Some people do it, even people that I know and I always imagine what would happen if they got into an accident. I will have to share this article with them and show them how much it could cost!
ReplyDeleteI used to work in a body shop and those prices in the post are very accurate. Today's cars are expensive to repair and the prices aren't going to go down any time soon. It's a good idea to get the best insurance possible for you car especially if you live in a big city.
ReplyDeleteI used to know one very confused individual (m) who refused to pay the car insurance, in fact they were paying some basic policy without the total coverage. Of course car got scratched and even a varnish was too much to pay because a car was very expensive so those quotes are very much correct.
ReplyDeleteA few years back I had a mild car accident. i didn't feel anything but the whole front end was squished. The problem was that I was a driver ( I have a licence but I am not interested to have my own car, because we don't need two blood thirsty vehicles in our garage) and I was taking my friend's car back to her place.
ReplyDeleteHer hubby was under the influence and we went to pick him up.
I was expecting that she was having a fully policy considering her husband was always under the influence, but instead of that she demanded that I pay a full price of the damage. I was very angry, specially because she gave me a semi-disabled vehicle ( something with the gear was 'not so good) with no policy under a bad weather and worse conditions.
I think that full car insurance is MUST.
