In drier environments the Rose carpets look like the first two photos, but when it's raining, they look more like the last two photos. Rose carpets do very well in California weather and around my house, because they like sun, and our house is mostly sunny.
We were having so much wet weather that it was useless to fight it. Trinity was stir crazy inside all day, so I had to let her out for some fun!
She was so happy to be outside and ecstatic to touch the rainfall. She had her hat on in the pictures below, but didn't keep it on for long. In the matter of minutes, she was soaking wet. It is such an incredible sight to watch her playing with the rainfall.
Trinity pointed out some rose carpets that were sunken in the rain water. We spent some time in the rain digging a narrow ditch to let the flood run away from the flower beds and into the sewer. It was a couple of very fun hours in the rain with my sweetie.
