Quality Time

The most quality time our family spent together was on our last camping trip. We were together every single minute and everyone doing the same thing at the same time.

I don't know why we have to go camping to have this kind of bond, but we do. I guess it isn't easy to completely shut off everything at home and be in lala land. But in the wilderness it is inevitable with only nature available.

The best gift for me was to see the big brother and little sister playing together. Added to the fun are the hikes to the beach. They were a bit of a challenge for me- but the exercise was long needed. I felt my sore muscles after a few times going up and down the trails.

There are still so many things I wanted to share from this trip, but it has to be succinct with my other obligations and that seemed to be the hardest part. For today, I created the mosaic to show some of the things we did, and we did them everyday that we were there. Such as building sand castles, and recording the standing power of each before they get washed away by the waves.

And how could one ever forget the magnificent views from our premier camping spot, it was breath-taking to stand on the bluff and see this view anytime.

Thanks for stopping by today.

  7. Wow. I'm glad you guys enjoyed such a wonderful family time. Sometimes you have to make it a point to connect away from all the distractions.

I'd love to take the family on something like this too.

    Love the photos.

I was thinking it would be nice if that beach was cleaned up.

Oh how I long to feel sand beneath my feet and ocean spray.

" - i have never done this, i will next time when my niece is here :) sounds fun.

i agree with you, with only nature available, we tend to work together more, it is hard to be in snyc at home when there is so much distraction technologically, sometimes my husband has to call my attention to help him, or i sometimes have to call his attention to help me, though sometimes, without asking we just know we need the other to complete the task. but in nature, well, we seem to be together most of the time :) and that is only 2 of us, and no kids.

  15. Looks like you had some fun times. It's great when the family can do something they all love to bond. I'm afraid camping is certainly not my thing.
We played a game of Cluedo today and it was fantastic.

  19. I had to admit... camping brings the good and bad in me. I love/hate camping. I love it because it is the only time I really spend more time with my husband but I hate it because we also get the chance to argue and fight over small things. hahaha But then, at the end of the day when the bonfire is already out... we kiss and make up.
