This weekend is Memorial weekend and a time for celebration. I hope everyone has a chance to enjoy their families. For me, it is about celebrating another dream achieved, and perhaps just wrapping up loose ends. That said, it would be quite a relief to tackle the graduation invitations once and for all, as we are running out of time. The graduations are within a couple of weeks. What are you celebrating this weekend?

Beautiful swirls of color! I do cut my roses back each year, it seems to make them healthier.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like we are going to have a rainy holiday weekend so no big plans, just a quiet celebration at home.
They are lovely, Amanda. I do have roses. I love them. I used to have many at our old house. Now I have 2 new ones we've bought since we moved, so they're only in their first season of growth.
ReplyDeletebeautiful Roses, Amanda, and your shots are exceptional. Yes, I do have roses, and we cut them like twice a year since they grow fast. pruning them like what you said makes them come back fuller and with a lot more blooms.
ReplyDeleteThey are so beautiful and vibrant colors! I remember them well :-)
ReplyDelete(I'm cleaning the house and prepare for companies!) :-(

ReplyDeleteWhen I had a yard with roses yes I did cut mine back every year. I love flowers and especailly roses. I miss not having a yard to do gardening.
Quiet weekend at home. Hubby has to work.

What a lovely display of roses.
ReplyDeleteDo I ever love those roses!! I got some beautiful rose pictures last week ( not my own roses, though ) when a friend from Hilo, Hawaii was in town and we were driving around the Presidio area in San Francico! The entire front of this mansion was planted with roses and other flower. It looked like an ad for Sunset magazine!

ReplyDeleteI cut my roses back every year, but I don't have any climbers, and wonder if they are to be treated differently.
